Do people think the Hostel movie is real?

That movie was actually based on incidents that happened in Thailand about 50 years ago. But just the part about rich people coming from around the world to kill others. In Cambodia there is still something like that but with animals. People pay to kill cows and other large animals with grenades and military grade weapons.
