TMJ or Wisdom Teeth??

Does wisdom tooth pain normally occur on one side of the mouth? I have a lot of pain and stiffness bilaterally in the back of my jaw and I do feel like it cracks or pops sometimes when I move it. I'm trying to figure out if it's my wisdom teeth or TMJ problems. What is it normally feel like to get your wisdom teeth in? I'm 23 years old and the last time I went to the dentist, she said my back molars are completely blocking the "eruption" of my wisdom teeth and they probably wont come up...
