Any funny recess memories?

Back in elementary school we had a huge playground.. and there was something that looked like a barrel turned over on its side, and it had two poles with handles on each side of it. You were supposed to run as fast as you could on to get it spinning, but I always saw people falling flat on their faces and backs on it, so I hardly ever played on that thing. but I always thought it was funny how fast they would get going, and then wipe out. Do you guys have any recess memories?
