Can you live with 5000 CAD a month?

I am looking for a job, I come from Europe and would like to know what to expect regarding salaries. If you know any website that could be helpful I much appreciate it. Also if you have got any experience regarding what is the best salary to propose in "Desired salary/Wage" when you have got a Financial/Business Services profile. Thanks a lot for stepping by !
