"how do I make my action films less cheesy?"?

Hi, i'm and indy filmaker, i like to participate in alot of film festivals and I have great ideas, just one problem. ACTION!!! i'm 16 and most of my friends are the same age, whenever we make an action film its really cheesy and people think its "cute". HOW CAN I BE TAKEN MORE SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! If you can tell me I would forever thank you, and don't tell me to get older actors or wait I'M TIRED OF WAITING :D
